Painting Trim

I have been toying with the idea of painting my wood trim in my Victorian home for years. My husband and I decided that we are finally going to do it. The main reason is because the existing original wood work is very pitted, scratched and poorly stained. We wanted to keep it original, but it is also very dark in our home and we would light to brighten it up.
