New Craft Idea

I have oodles and oodles of scrap fabric and lace. I always see these sweet floral pins made from fabric on etsy and craft blogs. So, since I am not going anywhere in this 4 inches of snow, I fired up the ol' sewing machine...

I started with an old eyelet piece of lace. I hemmed the edge and ran a stitch though it. I then carefully pulled the thread through the trim, cinching it together. Next, I coiled the lace, turning it into a flower shape. I will then attach the blue stone, from a vintage earring, when I take the earring apart. [I wanted to photograph before I lost the last of the day's light!] A pin back will also be attached to the back of the flower. Viola!
