Trying something new...

There is a new vintage fabric banner in the shop now. I normally tend to make them with girly and floral fabrics, but today I tried one that was for the Modernist.

and I also began some embroidery projects. I have a gigantic stash of vintage linens and lace and really wanted to make something decorative from it. Here is the first one of many [I hope]
I think it would also be really great to create this in a custom way too, like a child's name or a special date.

fabric banners.

I love putting together these banners from vintage fabric. Here is the newest one in the shop. I think that it feels very much like a late summer floral fabric., full of cottage style and whimsy.

Amy M from An Apple a Day posted a beautiful and inspiring post on DesignSponge about paper snowflakes. Instead of using regular white paper, she created these snowflakes garlands from paper doilies and strung them toegether with finishing line. Lovely!
