Infused Vodka

Oh if this isn't summer I don't know what is! My roommate, Tara, just came home with a bag of groceries and a handle of vodka. She exclaimed: "Let's make infused vodkas!" and before I knew it she had laid on the counter a watermelon, lemons, and cucumbers for her concoctions. After some chopping, rummaging for our empty pasta jars, and laughter, Tara had made three different infused vodkas by simply chopping the fruit/vegetable and covering it with vodka. She says let it sit for a few days and shake it every so often. I can't wait to see what cocktails will come from these!

Recycled Sweater Pillow

This is another submission for the flickr group Project Restyle! I only completed one recycled sweater pillow this afternoon [the goal is three] but I am very happy with the results. I have two more sweaters, one black and one white, and I hope to do one side black and one side white for the remaining two pillows. Then I think my bed will be oh so much more cozy!

what a fun idea...

I spotted this fun diy/recycle project over at Ashley Ann's photography blog. She uses an empty glass bottle, adds some bright tape and trim, and then adds flowers to make a very sweet gift. Have a look at the tutorial here.

This morning I came across the Etsy's blog: The Storque and discovered another great vintage article. I love when they curate a collection of unique vintage finds. The above photo is from one of my favorite shops Everyeskimo.

Both my French egg basket and my wooden blocks were featured! Do I feel like one lucky girl? You bet!
