Red Velvet Cupcakes

I am not sure why this sweet lady ever stopped posting about cupcakes, but her blog is top of the tops when it comes to finding amazingly different and unique recipes for cupcakes. One of my favorite posts was her traditional Red Velvet Cupcakes. I often will go and look at her blog just for some inspiration and enjoyment of her beautiful and mouth watering photos!

Her ingredients are so unusual, I would love to taste some of her treats! She has posted recipes for lavender, basil, carrot, ginger, toffee, goji, and many more wild flavors for cupcakes. You can find her entire list of cupcake recipes [here]

These Basil Cream and Mint Cream Filled Cupcakes with Raspberry Mousse Frosting inspired me to request red raspberries on top of my plain vanilla, vanilla cupcakes at my wedding. The dot of red was fantastic, floating in a sea of white, creamy frosting. Mmm.
My obsession with cake plates and stands also started a few years ago. I used to work in a very cool place, The Moravian Bookshop, which contrary to the name, sold more than books. I worked in the gourmet section, which sold gourmet foods and cooking utensils and amazing textiles. I fell in love with the company rosanna inc. They have great cake plates/stands.

xo.
