Fantastic set of teacups, fruit dishes, and plates coming to the shop this weekend. This set is so adorable, with its 22k gold trim, wheat and pink flower pattern, they are sweet!

Cupcake Foo Foo

Another Before and After Creation Photo. This cami is so feminine and full of ruffles and lace! I added a vintage doily [which we all know I love] and a posy of vintage feed sack fabric in the center of it, she is in the [shop] right now.

Robin's Egg Blue

Well, it is a gray and ugly day outside. Pete and I are going to the movies this afternoon for his birthday. We are going to get popcorn and see I Love You, Man! We both adore, just simply adore Paul Rudd. I think if the two of us ever met the guy we would smoother him in loving hugs and kisses. I especially like him in Wet, Hot American Summer... "You taste like a burger, I don't like you anymore!"

I also love that so many actors from Freaks + Geeks are still in acting. I think that that show was one in a million and I love the people from it even if it was extremely short lived and ahead of its time.

To cheer my up for such a drab day, I am listing this Robin's Egg blue beauty in the shop today. It is a vintage assemblage of fabric, beads and filigree metal. It's really nice. Great pin for the spring!
I also found this great vintage old stock of glitter vials! They are so darling! I wish I was into scrapbooking to use them! I stuck them in a vintage ceramic planter to photograph them. She is a sweetie, I have named her Ellie.

Feeling Inspired.

Staring at my lace and vintage fabric scraps today I became very inspired. I paged through the slips in my closet and chose this lovely number to embellish. It is not hard to create something so beautiful with a great base color, like this slip! The aqua is so bright and lovely and looks just down right sweet with the touches of pink lace.

New Flower Pin Brooch

New brooch in the shop. I am loving lace lately. I really like the way these pins are coming out too. I wish that I had more hot glue sticks, because there would be like three more in the shop if I hadn't run out! doh.

I hope to do some of these for weddings. I can just picture them on a set of bridesmaids. All of them would have the same lace but slightly different centers, mirroring that each bridesmaid has an individual personality.

Snow, Snow, Snow.

Well, here I am again on a snow day! [last one before we have to start going into our summer vacation] At least this will give me a day to catch up on my etsy shops as well as blogging and crafting. I am so full of ideas lately, its just getting them to come out of my hands is the challenge.

I wore my lace flower brooch/pin yesterday at school and had many compliments on it! I hope to make more today, as I finally bought some pin backs to sew on.

I am also listening to the Amelie soundtrack, trying to get motivated and wishing that there was more sunlight today for photos. I have things as close to the window as I can possibly get, sigh.

There is a new vintage nightie in the shop. It is too adorable. This may be my most favorite piece.

Also completed today and two frames for my other shop. The first one looks like fall to me. It was a recent thrift store find. Its an amazing frame that I painted black. [it was a horrible gold tone before] It once again is filled with one of my favorite illustrator's work. [Evaline Ness] The second one, as bright and cheery as it is, reminds me of winter. I guess its the cool blue and black and white image. The illustration is from a 1960s science book!

Vintage Pink Cami

I adore this slip top that I recently added to my vintage lingerie shop ItsBella. It has had a lot of work done to it! I began with a vintage cream colored slip and turned it into this beautiful and simple cami top.

I hand dyed the garment a lovely shade of pale pink. Then I cut and hemmed the original lace back onto the slip to make it into a camisole top. Lastly, a sweet detail of a vintage rhinestone pin and black ribbon bow to the bust and it was complete!

Now if it would just warm up above 30 degrees, I could stomach wearing something like this!

and really... is there nothing sweeter than a hem of vintage lace? Le siiigh.
