So yummy...

Saturday afternoons are the best time for a tea and cookie break. It is nice to slow down and take a moment to enjoy something I miss out on during the busy week. It was an especially nice, warm treat on this windy and cold day in Pennsylvania.

I saw this group of photos on ebay a few weeks ago. I wish I would have bought them. I have a boston terrier and she sometimes gets this same expression on her face...

Oh little too shabby chic but oh so sweet...

This sweet tiny house was featured in the NY Times a few weeks ago. What a great idea! A small place for one to just get away and read a book. Owner Sandra Foster renovated this beautiful Victorian style tiny cottage for only $3,000. Full of gingerbread, chandeliers, old books, and rose printed china, this tiny cottage is a calm and romantic secret in the Catskill forests.

The article is a great read, describing the very unique couple who owns this cottage and a 1971 trailer on the same property. A playful description of a cougar's nest and a man cave.

More Flea Market Finds..

I found this lovely little stack of vintage diner ware plates at a flea market this morning! They are made by Syracuse and I am researching the name of the pattern. I have found a few on ebay calling it "black lace"
These were spotted at a vendor's booth that was spilling over with diner ware. He was such a friendly guy, telling me how he hates winter and is enjoying the early arrival of summer. [It was over 80 degrees in Eastern Pa. this morning!] He and his "buddy" practically bought an entire diner's worth of dishes, so he was willing to bargain. I only wish that he had the dinner sized plates. These are the desert size. All in all, they are a great find, which I may have a hard time letting go of and putting into my shop!

Bathroom Sink DIY

Oh I just spotted this great sink skirt diy project over on Eddie Ross' blog! I only wish I had seen something like this before ripping my sink out! He used affordable dollar tree towels! [and they are in my color scheme!] le sigh.

Maybe I should have left the sink?? I am now trying to figure out what to do with the old sink. I was thinking of making it into a planter for my garden, but maybe that is too tacky?

Etsy Front Page?

I guess I snagged a spot on the front page of Etsy a few weeks ago! I found out on [this] blog. She has beeeautiful succulents in vintage containers. To die for!

I hearted this adorable sugar bowl with a plant from Monkeys Always Look a few weeks ago, but alas! She is sold.
